Passport Information

Passports are critical for international travel. The most up-to-date passport information, and additional resources, can be found on the US Department of State’s website. Adult US passports are valid for 10 years. As of January 2023, passports take 6-9 weeks to be processed - we recommend to apply early!

Don't forget to ask us about Passport Caravan, our event each semester where we help students get a new, adult US passport. Passport Caravan is held in late November and late April; sign ups are open a month prior to the event.

The US Department of State website has additional information about applications and FAQ for passports.
It was announced that some state IDs will not be valid for domestic air travel after May 2025 because they are not REAL-ID compliant. Please look online to see if your state ID is compliant. REAL IDs are available to Pennsylvanians who want them, but you must apply for one as the standard PA license is not compliant. For additional information, including valid ID alternatives, please see the REAL ID FAQ Sheet.
