GO Long

GO Long programs allow you to fulfill your GO requirement by studying at an institution overseas for an entire semester. During your semester abroad, you will take courses that transfer to a requirement for your major or minor, central curriculum requirements or elective credits. Immerse yourself in a new culture by living with a local family, completing an internship, studying among local students, and more!

Many GO Long programs require a student visa to stay in the country for the full semester of study. Visa requirements vary by country.

Resources for students

GO Long programs do have capacity limits, which vary depending on the semester and overall cohort size.  In cases where the number of approved applicants exceeds the capacity in a particular GO Long program, we work closely with students on placement into alternative choice programs.

Applications for next academic year (both Fall and Spring semesters) will be open October 15-November 15

To learn more about our response to COVID-19, see our FAQ.  Please note that there is a vaccine requirement in place for international GO programs. There are no exemptions for this due to the nature of the programs as well as the host culture regulations. If you have a campus-exemption, please talk to us about domestic GO Your Way options that may be available.
