Budget-Setting 
  • Make a weekly budget and stick to it. 
  • There are apps that can help with this. 
  • Be sure to factor in transportation fees, meals, groceries, toiletries, etc. 
  • Check with your bank about international fees and withdraw fees and work them into your budget. 
  • Understand the cost of living in your host country.  
  • Keep track of shared travel expenses that you split with friends using an app like Splitwise. 
  • Even in the case that you aren’t splitting expenses, be sure to track what you spend! Hold yourself accountable!
