About Spanish Language and Culture:
GO Spanish Language and Culture offers a unique opportunity to earn 5 credits while visiting 2 countries during 4 weeks and being exposed to multiple languages (Spanish, French, Arabic, Darija, Portuguese), religions (Catholic, Islamic, Amazigh, Jewish), and cultures (Arabic, Amazigh, Jewish, Sevillano). Perhaps on the surface Spain and Morocco seem like an odd combination, but upon digging deeper, a week in Northwest Morocco, riding a camel on the beaches of Asilah, staying with host families in Rabat, exploring the ancient city of Sefrou with artisans and visiting the World Heritage Site, medina in Fes, reveals the historic relationship of medieval Spain and Morocco; one which survives today in architecture, language and traditions. In Seville and Cordoba we explore the living cultural and architectural links between the the Islamic Kingdom of Morocco and Catholic Spain. Yallah! (“lets go” in Darija)
Students must have studied through SPAN-104 and must have a G.P.A. in Spanish of at least 3.0

About GO Short
Through intentional programming, students make the most of their short-term study abroad on GO Short programs. You will study away with Susquehanna faculty/staff leading a small group of Susquehanna classmates, all of whom have participated in the program’s preparation (i.e. GO Prep) course in the semester prior to departure. After an intensive, active program, there is a reflection course for the program to optimize your cross-cultural learning. As these programs run during winter or summer breaks and are 2-6 weeks, they are great opportunities for students to study away without committing to a full semester.
