About French Language and Culture:

The French Language and Culture program is perfect for students who wants to live with a host family and spend a substantial amount of time in getting to know one special part of the world but who don’t feel they can be away from campus for a whole semester.  Students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the French language through French courses and culture.  Through all of this, students who complete this program gain six academic credits that transfer back to SU.
  • Prerequisite: Prefer one semester of French.
  • Recieve 6 credits during this program
  • Financial aid: Need-based aid may be available
  • Program Director: Michele DeMary, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Political Science

Student Quotes:
  • I love France. Period. The culture, the beautiful towns....I could live there forever. -- Student on 2015 program
  • It is a perfect amount of time to learn about the area and become immersed in the culture. It is the perfect location to study abroad. The area has so much to offer and so much to do. -- Student on 2015 program
  • The location was gorgeous and close to a lot of really influential towns in Southern France. Outside of school, I felt like I was thoroughly immersed in French culture. --Student on 2015 program
About GO Short:

Through intentional programming, students make the most of their short-term study abroad on GO Short programs. You will study away with Susquehanna faculty/staff leading a small group of Susquehanna classmates, all of whom have participated in the program’s preparation (i.e. GO Prep) course in the semester prior to departure. After an intensive, active program, there is a reflection course for the program to optimize your cross-cultural learning. As these programs run during winter or summer breaks and are 2-6 weeks, they are great opportunities for students to study away without committing to a full semester.
