SU in Galway
About SU in Ireland:
From beaches to the bustling city center to the surrounding countryside, Galway has no shortage of places to explore during your study abroad semester. Visit the Galway City Museum, trek through Connemara National park or tour one of the nearby castles and abbeys. If you're interested in music and the arts, Galway is the place for you. It's known for its vibrant lifestyle and many festivals like the Galway Arts Festival, as well as for connections with traditional Irish music. Located in the west of Ireland, Galway is Ireland's fourth biggest city. It lies on the River Corrib near the Galway Bay. During your study abroad semester in Ireland, you'll study at NUI Galway, a prestigious university that attracts students from all over the world. More than 17,000 students representing nearly 100 countries study there. You'll live in university-managed housing that includes 2-3 bedrooms, a small kitchen and shared living space. Choose from a wide range of courses in areas like accounting, information technology/mathematics, Irish studies, sociology, English, philosophy, women's studies and more.

You will pay SU tuition for your program and Galway room and board. You will need to pay for a round-trip flight to and from Galway, transportation costs in-country, books, etc.

Some estimated additional personal expenses may include laundry, toiletries, purchase of personal items and resources.
